Another leaf
falls from the tree,
caught in a breeze
we will never see.

Another flower
picked from its stem,
so young and beautiful
at that moment, then.

Another bird
falls from the sky,
when all a bird must do
is fly.

Another tree
takes its last breath,
an omen, perhaps,
of something…
